Our Beliefs

The Scriptures: We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Australia that believes in the truth of the Bible, the scriptures containing the Old and New Testaments as the rule of our faith and of our practice. We believe the Bible and its teachings for the world, and how to live, to be inerrant and infallible. We believe that the Bible contains narratives and history, poetry and song, wisdom and writings. These all serve to reveal the history for the salvation of human kind our Holy God. God’s redemptive plan culminates in the accomplishment of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, through His death and resurrection.

We also believe that the Westminster Confession of Faith (WCF) is a most useful document that helps us to understand the teaching of the Bible and is a statement of the faith that we share.

We believe in the triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

We are also reformed, evangelical and evangelistic, wanting to see multitudes come to saving faith in Jesus before he returns to take his people home at some point in the future.

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
